Green BusinessWe were not born with an innate knowledge of behavior, ethics, or environmental concern.  We all start out in life relatively selfish and self-indulgent.  Being responsible, diligent, and ethical came later; but it was part of our learning process.  We learned to care about the feelings of others, the harm that we can inflict by careless actions, and about leaving a mess for others to clean up.  So, it is fair to say that Going Green is not as simple as turning off the lights as we leave the room.

The environmental crisis now requires each us to change our behavior and frankly later our lifestyle.  We cannot afford to live in blissful ignorance of the wake we leave behind as we motor through life.  Please, do not imagine that becoming environmentally aware is as simple choosing a new outfit for summer.  To be authentically Green there must be a measure and a standard that can be recognized by others.  That standard, by the way, is not found on a well-designed website that will lend you their logo for $400-500 and a ten point promise to Go Green.  If you didn't earn it, you should never buy it.  That is both deceptive and flat wrong in a world worried about our collective future.
