Green Practices Initiative - The Green Practices Clause

Frankly, we do not know what shape the Regional Advisories will take as we commission these groups with the mandates to get the Green Practices Clause into as many contracts and RFPs as possible.  It is not a grand and glorious task.  It is a Grass Root program that endeavors to give a voice to the people who are in the trenches.  These are the "People who Bring the Green,"  and we are excited to see what happens as we empower them with the new tools to reach the decision-makers in their areas.

In light of all that is happening, it is important that everyone realize how new these projects are.  We have emerged from the "Orange Era" with lessons learned, and now the "Green Era" is a whole new animal.  It is not the environmentalist and tree-huggers who are activists.  Everyone is joining the program for better or worse.  Unfortunately, there is a whole lot of ad hoc programming that doesn't seem to do their homework before installing rule.  It is our hope to provide a sane forum for Green Practices in unity with the people
